Who is Nene Royal?

Nene Royal — real name Rattikarn "Praew" Amloy — is a 16-year-old rock guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter from Phuket, Thailand. She taught herself guitar as a kid, starting out on a cheap night-market guitar and busking for donations in Phuket with her local band, Ozone.

In 2026 she went viral on America's Got Talent Season 21: a four-yes audition covering The Cranberries' "Zombie," a Judges' Callback tearing through Muse's "Hysteria," and a Golden Buzzer for Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun" that sent her to the Grand Finale. She's a featured artist with Enya Music and is working on her debut EP.
